Rehavia - a Hidden Gem



So you have been all over the City, saw all the major stories, and you feel that you get Jerusalem. Let me prove you wrong. There are so many stories hiding in the old neighborhoods of the new city, stories that usually go unnoticed by visitors from abroad. Rehavia is one of those neighborhoods. A peaceful heaven of stone and tree, this used to be the uptown. During the British rule and the first years of independence. And it is full of history - here a famous architect lived in a windmill, a barber payed for his house with haircuts and the president of Israel stood guard of his own residence. This was - still is - a place of scholars and dreamers. This is a different story.
